Who Decides?

Who speaks for Jesus? Do you know what Jesus would do? Personally, I do not have a clue. I remember when I was a kid, I thought I understood Jesus’ temperament as a man of peace, then I heard about his violence driving the moneychangers from the temple. All of a sudden, I was no longer sure what Jesus would do.

Al Sharpton and Michael Moore seem to think they know what Jesus would do. “What fools these mortals be.” I hear politicians asking, “What would Jesus do?” This has become a way to persuade people to their point of view. Is this not akin to taking the lords name in vain? I am no biblical scholar, but I do not want these people telling me they know what Jesus would do. I think asking the question is past presumptuous and into arrogance.

Hell, Al Sharpton is supposed to be our foremost civil rights leader and he does not even know what Martin Luther King would do. In my estimation, Sharpton routinely gets it wrong.

Who decides if people are religious or not? John Kerry, Barack Obama and even the Pope have stated that Islamic extremists are not religious. Do these political figures get to decide if you have religion or not. I do not think even the Pope is foolish enough to assume this is in his job description. It is kind of like telling a Baptist church they are not religious because they do not belong to the Southern Baptist Convention. Who Decides?

My feeling is that practitioners of a religion are the only ones that gets to decide if they have religious affiliations or not. In the case of Islamic extremists that yell, “Allahu Akbar,” as they commit atrocities make it pretty clear they think they are religious Muslims. Imams around the world support them. Does John Kerry and Barack Obama think these Imams are not religious either? Do you think Barack Obama thinks the Ayatollah in Iran is not religious because he wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth? Our State Department is supporting the Muslim Brotherhood from Egypt. Does our State Department not know these people are religious fanatics?

Have all the Progressives around the world gone insane? It has been clear to me for a long time that what they think is dangerous and based in lies, but do they think we will continue to fall for the lies? Abe Lincoln told us, "You can fool all of the people some of the time and you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”

Personally, I am tired of the lies and I am not being fooled. I just hope more of you are in my camp than are in theirs. Our country and the world is going crazy around us. No one can fix either, except us.
